Passage to Africa offers the unique opportunity of joining an exclusive ‘invitational safari’, lead by professional guide, Squack Evans.
This incredible adventure immerses the safari lover in the untamed wilds of Tanzania’s northern circuit, beginning in the undulating landscapes of Tarangire where ancient baobab trees dot the wide-open plains, dwarfing the abundant wildlife beneath. This remarkable journey then showcases the drama of the Ngorongoro crater, a breath-taking natural amphitheatre that is host to an abundant diversity of bird and animal life. The expedition enters the Northern Serengeti to experience the natural wonder that is the iconic ‘migration’. The herds of wildebeest and zebra stretch beyond the horizon, salt and pepper sprinkled across the uninterrupted plains. This is a dramatic place and time as the herds face the annual challenge of crossing rivers heaving with crocodiles. In fascinating contrast, the safari draws to a close in the mountainous inclines of Rwanda’s dense rainforests where you trek for the endangered Mountain Gorilla. It is a rare privilege viewing these enormous yet gentle creatures; arguably one of the most compelling and profound experiences Africa has to offer.
This is no ordinary journey – this is the essence of safari.
